Tip leads to the arrest of a Phoenix man for unlawful images
On June 2nd, 2008, an employee of a Phoenix business discovered computer media that contained images depicting the sexual exploitation of minors. AZ ICAC detectives from the Phoenix Police Department wrote an affidavit and search warrant to examine the media.
The investigation led to Daniel Matas, an employee of the business. Matas was interviewed and made admissions regarding the offense. Matas was arrested on July 10, 2009 and charged with ten counts of sexual exploitation of a minor (unlawful images). He was booked into the Maricopa County jail. The Maricopa County Attorneys Office will prosecute the case.
