Yavapai County Sheriffs Department ICAC Predator Unit Arrests Three
On August 29, 2009, after several Internet chat conversations, 55 year old Yuma resident David Gardner drove from his residence to a public park in Yavapai County intent upon meeting a minor for sex. Gardner was met instead by Deputies of the Yavapai County Sheriffs Office and he was arrested. Yavapai County Sheriffs detectives executed a search warrant at a nearby hotel room that Gardner had rented and seized items of evidence. A second search warrant at Gardners Yuma residence also resulted in the seizure of evidence. Gardner was booked into the Camp Verde Detention Center charged with three counts of luring a minor for sexual exploitation. He is held on $500,000 bond. His next court date is September 8, 2009.
In April 2009, Yavapai County Sheriffs detectives arrested a Knoxville Tennessee man and charged him with luring a minor for sexual exploitation. The U.S. Attorney's Office and Tennessee law enforcement officials assisted in the case
Also in April 2009, a Tucson man traveled to Yavapai County intent upon meeting a minor for sex. He was arrested by detectives of the Yavapai County Sheriffs Office and charged with luring a minor for sexual exploitation.
